Welcome to Gwyl Gregynog Festival 2008
Gregynog is a magnificent country house set in 750 acres of landscaped grounds some five miles from Newtown, Powys. Between 1920 and 1963, its owners Gwendoline and Margaret Davies established one of Europe’s finest private printing presses and formed an outstanding collection of Impressionist and other paintings and sculpture, now on view at National Museum Wales. The sisters also founded the Gregynog Festivals of Music and Poetry which attracted leading musicians including Adrian Boult, Gustav Holst and Henry Walford Davies.
Once again, this year’s Gwyl Gregynog Festival offers an exciting mix of established and emerging international artists. Do join us this summer to enjoy world-class performances in the wonderful intimate setting of Gregynog’s historic Music Room.
