A big thank you to all our artists, patrons, sponsors and helpers for making the 2009 Festival such a success.

The 2009 Gregynog Festival ran from 12-21 June and our theme was composer anniversaries. Programming ranged from Henry VIII to Purcell, Handel, Haydn and Mendelssohn and highlighted their connections with Wales and the Borders.

Headline artists included The Sixteen, the world-class choir who are the Voices of Classic FM; star soloists Elin Manahan Thomas and Iestyn Davies, early music specialists The Dufay Collective; and the outstanding Aronowitz Ensemble whose members include Gregynog favourites Guy Johnston and Tom Poster. We were delighted to welcome two distinguished international chamber ensembles, the Kungsbacka Piano Trio and Haydn Trio Eisenstadt. O Duo, the brilliant percussionists who performed at the 2008 BBC Proms, was also provided a special midweek family concert.
