Winner of the Best Young British Performer at the 2006 Classical BRIT Awards and the Classic FM Listeners’ Award at the 2006 Gramophone Awards, Alison Balsom is one of classical music’s hottest properties. She comes to Gregynog in between appearances in the USA, Taiwan and Brazil, and her performance at the Festival marks her only solo recital in Wales this year. Alison’s accompanist in a virtuosic and varied programme is another prizewinning young musician, Tom Poster.
